The Upside Down Triangle of Empowerment

The typical management structure  the set-up is usually a triangle shape with the boss at the top and the staff  beneath him or her.

In training  this is often the same with the  trainer at the top and the delegates underneath - waiting for words of wisdom and  being told what to do.

In Work it Out! we turn the triangle of expertise, control and authority on its head. Partners create new initiatives with each other and drive these forward from week one.
 
People are developing workpieces from the start of the process. The facilitator of the process, having ignited the process is no longer the focus.

Individuals are building their own personal support network. It is their upside-down triangle – and in turn helping others to build theirs.

When you start with Work it Out! you can build new links . You can join up with one group for 'Workpiece A ' or someone else for  'Workpiece B' 

It's about reaching out, being interested in others, offering to help, creating possibilities and about exploring opportunities together in an enjoyable way! 

Whilst doing all of this  you'll be  developing new  positive  relationships that can support you  now and well into the future....

EXERCISE
Your task is to reach out to three people in the  next 24 hours. Be genuinely interested in them and see how you can help. 

Or

Look at the priority workpiece that you  have identified . What skills , expertise or support would you like. Who migh t be able to lend a hand in some way?  Go and ask them for their advice or  guidance.
