The world's leading process for effective collaboration

For over 25 years Des McCabe and the team at Diversiton have used the  Work it Out 'way of being' methodology in a wide range of situations and challenges. All of these have produced inclusion as a 'by product'.  Indeed, Work it Out! has become established as the leading process for driving effective collaboration and building inclusion.

Work it Out  - Success Over the Years ......

Work it Out - Peace Building Process

1998 - 2003 - The Work it Out methodology was at the heart of numerous elements of the Northern Ireland Peace process. This included U.S. Senator George Mitchell's Fund for Reconciliation 'New Space' project by The Training Trust (linking children of different political persuasion in N. Ireland with children in Namibia) and the design of Cross Border Organizations / Bodies with the Irish Government that  encouraged collaboration and were not seen as threatening by different traditions.

Work it Out  - Religious Diversity Workshops

2000 - 2006 - The Work it Out methodology was at the heart of the 3 hour workshop delivered to over 3000 Businesses and Public Sector Bodies internationally (winner of the Diversity 21 Award).

Work it Out    -   Invest – Using individual skills to drive organization performance

2005- 2011 -    Work it Out was incorporated into a wide range UK Local Authorities ‘Invest’ initiatives to boost enterprise, empower communities, improve business / public sector collaboration, tackle exclusion and drive new business growth. Innovation, creativity and success happens when we free people from their silos and give them permission to be successful.

Work it Out  -   Publication of Work it Out!

In 2011  Work it Out! was published by Hay House .

Work it Out  -   'Next Steps'  Process

2011 - 2014 –  The Next Step Process was an inclusion and integration program for those who were most vulnerable and disadvantaged in local communities. The 'Next Steps' Process used the Work it Out methodology to engage with and support those most 'at risk'. It was ‘mainstreamed’ by numerous Local Authorities and integrated into their wider support arrangements.

Work it Out  - Career Development Workshops

2012 - 2014 –   At a time of economic recession Work it Out became the leading jobs workshop in the UK and Ireland running in 20+ cities. Each event had around 200 delegates. These were followed up with the 6-week Work it Out collaboration process in local areas where individuals worked collaboratively to find work, build their careers and start businesses.

Work it Out   - Income Generation Program

2018 - 2021 - The leading Income Generation Programs (Everlasting Grants) for Local Authorities and Non-Profit Making bodies. Again, the Work it Out methodology was at the heart of this.

Work it Out  - Community Development and Integration Workshops

2015- 2019 - Work it Out was Ireland's primary innovation program to boost  economically  deprived  areas by integrating all sections of the community. Funded  directly  by the Irish Government  over a four year period in numerous towns and cities.

Work it Out  - Building  Community  for Business   Growth

2015 - 2025 -  Work it Out's 'Community Building' focus has been at the heart of successful growth initiatives for 75 entrepreneurial businesses across the world. Individuals and businesses benefit from Des McCabe’s innovative licensing framework based on the Work it Out methodology to build a cohesive and collaborative team of licensees.

Work it Out  - Meitheal

2023  (ongoing) -  The Irish concept of Meitheal is based on collective effort, mutual support and shared responsibility. The  Work it Out methodology  supports the start-up of Meitheal groups  and communities by individuals and organisations.

Work it Out  - Rethinking Inclusion

2025  (ongoing) -   Initial 16-week process offering a practical, skills-based alternative to conventional DEI.
